Cycling duo raises money for MHVI with Ontario to Milwaukee trek

Thank you!

A Marine Corps veteran and a friend raised $602 for MHVI by riding 402 miles from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, to Milwaukee. Sean Hackney, the veteran, and Brandon Sippel biked 65-70 miles a day over a six day period between August 19th and 25th. They pitched a tent each night.

The GoFundMe page they set up to take donations will remain up until they reach their goal of $1500. To donate via GoFundMe, click here.

"We decided that the only thing that would make this adventure even better is by raising money for a worthy cause," Sean wrote, "That is why we decided to raise funds for the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative (MHVI)."

They posted daily videos to their Facebook pages and shared their thoughts on veteran homelessness and "how MHVI fills the gaps that no one else addresses".
